Main Functions of the Division:

Research

Technical services

1. Histopathological tissue sample analysis of farm animals, poultry, marine/aquatic animals & fish, zoo and wild animals.
2. Establishment of immunohistochemical technique for selected disease conditions.
3. Wildlife disease surveillance activities in relation to pathology and histopathology.
4. Conducting post mortem examinations, disease investigations and related advisory services upon request.
5. Supporting development projects and special projects of the department.

Technology Transfer

1. Dissemination of research findings.
2. Training of officers, veterinary internees, postgraduate/undergraduate/diploma students etc.
